Children are a precious and valued part of church life. We want families with children to feel welcome and at ease on a Sunday morning. Children worship with their families for the first part of the service and leave for their own activities at around 10:45am. There is a designated area at the front of the church where children are able to use flags, ribbons and musical instruments to express their worship to God. Please don't worry if your children are not quiet. Parents are required to collect their children at 12:15pm from the appropriate building. If you are unable to collect your child because of receiving prayer ministry, please arrange for a friend to collect them on your behalf.
Creche and Acorns
Creche and Acorns groups meet together in the pre-school building next to the car park. Parents are required to walk their child over to the building and register them with the leaders on duty.
Children from birth to 5 years old are welcome to come and play, sing and learn about God in a very simple way. Parents of babies may be asked to stay with their child in order to maintain the necessary adult to child ratios. Our creche and Acorns leader, Matt and Robyn Munt are passionate about providing children's work that is safe, fun and creative. They, along with their dedicated team, use a variety of means including songs, stories, craft and play to communicate foundational Biblical truths to the children under their care. For any queries or further information, please contact Matt and Robyn Munt.
Powerpack Powerpack is Bethany's childrens group from ages 5-11 and is led by Maureen Whitehead. Powerpack requires parents to pre-register their child before the service begins. Parents will be given a card with a number on, which they need to hand in to the leaders when they collect their child. At around 10:45 Powerpack aged children assemble at the back of the church where they are walked across by the leaders to the Factory, where they meet for their activities. Powerpack meets weekly to have fun, worship, play games, do art and craft and have Biblical teaching of their own. We also run a series of social activities throughout the year where we can hang out with our friends and have fun together. For further information please contact Maureen Whitehead.
